AUSTIN, Texas Senior Andy Reidsma of Trinity Christian College and junior Hannah Helker of Oklahoma Baptist University lead the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division men’s and women’s track and field/cross country teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Capital One College Division Academic All-America® men’s and women’s track and field/cross country teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.

National Honor for Bentley Grad

Terry Carleton said being in the Capital One Academic All-American Hall of Fame is “an awesome, humbling experience. You’re entering a small fraternity of just a few hundred.”

It was a momentous night for Terry Carleton, but what meant more to the 59-year-old Needham resident was the opportunity to give voice to his beloved Bentley University.

Monday night in Orlando, Carleton was inducted into the Capital One Academic All-American Hall of Fame.

“It was an awesome, humbling experience,” said Carleton, a member of the Waltham university’s board of trustees.

“You’re entering a small fraternity of just a few hundred.”

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Senior gymnasts Michael Newburger of The Ohio State University and Kim Jacob of the University of Alabama lead the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Men’s and Women’s At-Large teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Newburger and Jacob have been chosen as the winners of the Capital One All-America® of the Year award for Division I Men’s and Women’s At-Large programs, respectively.
